Q. How do I become eligible for dental benefits through AAA?
A. If you are currently a AAA member, you are already eligible. If you are not a AAA member, you must first establish a AAA membership before signing up for Delta Dental. You may do so by visiting your local AAA branch or logging on to www.AAA.com.
Q. I am a AAA member and reside in Massachusetts. Can I apply for dental benefits through this AAA plan?
A. No. This plan is currently only being offered to AAA Southern New England members living in Rhode Island.

A. For a detailed description of the benefit summary, please click here.
Q. Who can be covered through the AAA dental plan?
A. We offer individual plans and family plans. If you choose the family plan, your spouse and children, under the age of 19, are eligible for benefits.
Q. How soon can I receive dental coverage?
A. Enrollment in this plan occurs on a monthly basis. If you enroll within the first 10 days of the month, your coverage will be effective the next month (e.g. If you sign up on July 8, your coverage begins August 1.). If you enroll after the tenth of the month, your coverage will be effective for the month following the next (e.g. If you sign up on July 21, your coverage begins September 1.).
Q. How do I pay for this dental coverage?
A. You can pay for your Delta Dental coverage by credit card or automatic deduction from your bank account. By signing up for our automatic payment option, you receive a $2.00 discount off your monthly rate.
Q. If I choose to drop my dental coverage during the year, will I get a refund?
A. You may end coverage by submitting a termination letter. Cancellation of coverage is effective at the end of the month or quarter, depending on the payment schedule you elected. However, there are no premium refunds.
Q. Do I have to go to a particular dentist?
A. You always have the freedom to choose any dentist, however, your out-of-pocket costs will be higher at a non-participating dentist. In Rhode Island, more than nine out of ten dentists participate with Delta Dental.
As a member of Delta Dental, you enjoy distinct advantages when you visit a participating dentist. The dentist agrees to accept our payment as payment in full - minus any applicable deductibles or coinsurances - and you are protected against being billed for any remaining balance. A participating dentist will also file your claims directly with us and handle all paperwork.
Q. Are there any waiting periods to receive coverage for services?
