The Delta Dental of Rhode Island Fund

Improving the Oral Health of all Rhode Islanders

Delta Dental RI BuildingDental disease can affect daily activities and significantly diminish the quality of life for many Rhode Islanders, especially the uninsured or those with low incomes. In response, Delta Dental of Rhode Island established a permanent $3 million endowment to support dental health initiatives for children, low-income, and elderly Rhode Islanders, including frail seniors in nursing homes. The Fund formalizes our philanthropic efforts under one umbrella, enabling us to reach more people and streamline our grant process. 

The Delta Dental of Rhode Island Fund is administered by The Rhode Island Foundation, the state’s most experienced and largest grant-making organization.
In collaboration with the Rhode Island Foundation, Delta Dental awards grants to qualifying charitable organizations for programs or capital expenditures that increase access to dental care for at-risk, vulnerable Rhode Islanders. The Fund is just the beginning of what we hope will be a renewed focus on oral health in Rhode Island.
