How do I become an appointed broker with Delta Dental of Rhode Island?
Start by contacting Broker Support at Delta Dental for a Broker’s Agreement. Return the signed Agreement, along with a copy of your current Rhode Island Broker's license. Then we can start working with you to design dental plans that meet the needs of your clients.

How does Delta Dental manage broker commissions?
Delta Dental makes getting your commission check fast and easy. Make sure we have a current Broker of Record letter from your client and copy of your Rhode Island producer’s license. You can even have payments deposited directly into your bank account. Click here for more information.

Are Delta Dental plans compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA)?
Yes. All of our plans meet the requirement of the ACA to include pediatric dental benefits in health plans for small businesses* as part of 10 Essential Health Benefits (EHBs). You can help your clients deliver more affordable health care by removing the pediatric dental benefit from their medical plans. We can provide you with a Reasonable Assurance Certificate to show that your client’s dental plan satisfies state and federal requirements for pediatric dental coverage. Click here to learn more.

What if my client has employees outside of Rhode Island?
Out-of-state employees enjoy excellent coverage, thanks to our national networks. In fact, because Delta Dental offers the nation's largest network, it's easy to find an in-network provider in all 50 states. We’ll work with you to design the right program for your client.

What if my client wants an “out-of-the-box” plan?
At Delta Dental, we’ll help you respond to your client’s specific needs. Our wide array of plans, complemented by our flexible options, means there is a plan for every company no matter what the size. We’ll work with you to design plans that fit your client’s needs regardless of their budget or number of employees.

Can I sell voluntary dental insurance?
