COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates:

A message to the Delta Dental of Rhode Island community about COVID-19

As dental offices reopen for routine care, the safety and well-being of our members, clients, brokers, dentists, employees and our community is top of mind. We remain committed to uninterrupted service and are fully operational during this time, continuing to cover benefits, process claims and serve your needs as usual through our Customer Service Center.

If you’re a member, client, broker or dentist, here’s what you need to know about our operations:

  • While much of our team is working remotely for health and safety reasons, our operations are business as usual. As recently as last fall, our Business Continuity team conducted a full-scale test to ensure that our business operations can continue as usual through crisis scenarios. We’re here for you, and we’re ready to serve
  • All members, benefit administrators and dentists may access appropriate benefit and claims information 24 hours a day, seven days a week at deltadentalri.com or through our automated telephone service at 1.800.843.3582. Additionally, all groups with online access may manage enrollment and billing information through our website
  • We continue to process EOBs, CEOBs and pre-treatment estimates on normal time schedules. We also continue to process provider payments, both electronically and through issuing paper checks
  • Benefit administrators and brokers who need to speak with their account representative should reach out directly to their representative as they normally would
  • Members and dentists who need to speak with a customer service representative may call 1.800.843.3582

We’ve also been working to make things easier and safer for clients, brokers, members and dentists. Here are a few highlights:

  • We’re providing premium credits for our group clients. You’ll see those credits on your July, August and September invoices
  • We’re providing a refund of one month’s premium for members enrolled in our consumer group plans
  • We’ve provided emergency access-to-care grants to a number of organizations throughout our community
  • We’ve implemented several programs and policy changes to help our dentist community. Learn more about these programs.
