Affordable Care Act (ACA):
A comprehensive national health care reform law, passed in 2010, the ACA is designed to make preventive care more affordable and accessible for many Americans.

Essential Health Benefits (EHB)
The ACA contains 10 health benefits that all health insurance plans will be required to cover for individuals and small group markets.

Pediatric Dental Benefits
Individuals under the age of 19 are provided increased access to dental coverage under the ACA if they receive their health insurance through an individual or small group health plan. For more information, click here.

Medically Necessary Orthodontics
A key element of the Pediatric Dental Essential Health Benefit, this benefit provides orthodontic services for children with serious orthodontic impairment resulting from congenital abnormalities that affect their daily ability to function. For more information, click here.

Beginning January 1, 2014, under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), pediatric dental benefits must be included in health plans for small businesses* as part of 10 Essential Health Benefits (EHB). The good news is that you can satisfy this requirement with a plan from Delta Dental.

Small BusinessAll of our small business dental insurance plans have been modified to include the pediatric dental health benefit. If you are an existing customer, we will modify your dental coverage to incorporate the pediatric dental health benefit at renewal time.
